Responsibilities
Own end-to-end asset management for a large residential and DG solar and battery portfolio
Full P&L ownership, including budgeting, cost control, and NOI optimization
Lead technical and operational asset management, including monitoring, O&M, warranties, insurance, EPC workmanship, and field service execution
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and tax requirements, including multi-year ITC recapture obligations
Build, lead, and scale the asset management organization, including internal hires and third-party vendors
Drive incremental revenue through battery optimization, grid services, and Virtual Power Plant participation
Partner closely with executive leadership and finance on reporting, dashboards, and performance analytics
Replace or restructure underperforming vendors and build durable internal capabilities
Qualification
Required
7–10+ years of experience in asset management within residential solar, distributed generation, IPP, or sponsor environments
Direct experience managing large fleets of distributed assets (thousands to tens of thousands of systems)
Proven experience managing assets through multi-year ownership and compliance periods (e.g., ITC recapture)
Strong operator with demonstrated success improving availability, reducing OpEx, and increasing NOI at scale
Preferred
Residential or DG-heavy background strongly preferred; utility-scale-only profiles are less relevant
Experience with batteries, VPPs, grid services, or other multi-revenue-stream strategies is highly preferred
