Responsibilities
Build the initial product and platform from scratch (architecture, infrastructure, and core systems)
Design and implement AI-driven workflows for clinical trial management and operations
Work closely with founders on product definition, technical tradeoffs, and roadmap
Own backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and early frontend decisions as needed
Translate ambiguous requirements into shipped features in a fast-moving environment
Establish engineering best practices, tooling, and standards for future hires
Engage directly with early customers and domain experts to iterate on real-world needs
Qualification
Required
Prior experience building products from 0 → 1 (startup, internal incubation, or founding role)
Strong software engineering fundamentals and system design skills
Experience building and deploying AI/ML-powered systems in production
Proficiency with modern backend stacks (e.g., Python, TypeScript, SQL, cloud infrastructure)
Comfort working across the stack when needed (this is an early-stage role)
Ability to operate with high autonomy and make sound technical decisions under uncertainty
Strong product intuition and willingness to engage deeply with customer problems
Preferred
Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated environments
Familiarity with clinical trials, pharma operations, or enterprise B2B SaaS
Experience designing data-heavy or workflow-driven platforms
Prior founding or early-stage startup experience
