Supervisor, Career Development

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the New Orleans Job Corps Center, providing quality services to local youth. The Supervisor, Career Development will manage career counseling, mental health support, student assessment, and career preparation programs, ensuring compliance with government and management directives.

Human Resources

Responsibilities

Develop departmental budget; monitor and control expenditures, and review and recommend changes to budget authorizations
Develop and implement new and revised policies and procedures affecting the directorate and subordinate departments; coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with overall center objectives
Regularly assess and audit directorate for contractual compliance and quality of services to students; prepare audit and assessment reports
Conduct audits and assessments regularly; prepare related reports; maintain a comprehensive center self-assessment system for areas of responsibility
Assist center director in planning, coordinating and directing the administrative and programmatic activities of the center; serve as acting center director in the director's absence

Required

Bachelor's Degree, including 15 semester hours of instruction in social services-related instruction
Two (2) years of experience in counseling or related field required, and working with youth adults
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
