Responsibilities

The Electronics Technician Maintenance II applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents
Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices
This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician

Required

Minimum High School diploma/GED with completion of formal technical training courses OR Associate Degree in Electrical or Engineering Technology
Two years Practical experience in an electronic technician support position is required to perform the following: Troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, testing, and installing electrical, electronic systems and equipment
Assists in developing, reviewing, and updating engineering documentation and processes utilizing necessary soldering, tool and test equipment
Familiarity with the purpose and operation of basic electronics test equipment including but not limited to multi-meter, oscilloscope, signal generator, AC/DC power supply, power meter
Proficient in through-hole soldering/de-soldering
Able to identify and interpret basic analogue and digital circuit schematics and symbols (eg. resistor, capacitor, inductor, transistor, IC, etc.)
Able to perform basic electronics troubleshooting (eg. Measure volts, current, resistance; Identify opens, shorts, grounds)
Must possess TWO forms of unexpired identification to meet eligibility requirements
One Primary form of government-issued identification, selected from the following: Valid REAL ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued ID card, U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Transportation ID Card, U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport Card, Permanent Resident Card (Form I-551), U.S. Military or U.S. Military dependent's ID Card with photograph, U.S. Government Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Card
One secondary form of identification, such as: Social security card, Original or certified copy of a birth certificate, certificate of U.S. Citizenship or Naturalization, Voter registration card

Preferred

Specialized knowledge of FAA systems, equipment, procedures, and operations is highly desired
