Responsibilities
Process and manage biweekly payroll for employees across multiple entities and states using Paylocity
Review and reconcile time and attendance data, earnings, deductions, PTO, and approvals prior to payroll submission
Ensure accurate payroll tax withholding, reporting, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Research and resolve payroll tax issues, discrepancies, and notices
Open, maintain, and manage state and local withholding and unemployment accounts as needed
Process payroll corrections, retroactive adjustments, reversals, and off-cycle payrolls
Coordinate benefit and retirement deductions and reconcile contributions with third-party vendors
Partner with HR and benefits teams to ensure accurate employee data, benefit elections, and payroll changes
Maintain accurate payroll records, documentation, and audit trails
Support quarterly and year-end payroll activities, including tax filings, amendments, and W-2 preparation
Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers
Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and system efficiencies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent payroll experience
5+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-entity or multi-state environment
Strong working knowledge of Paylocity
Experience with payroll tax compliance and issue resolution
Solid understanding of wage and hour laws and payroll best practices
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
