Northeastern University is seeking a Student Recruitment & Retention Specialist to develop and manage strategic recruitment initiatives aimed at increasing college enrollment among historically low enrollment communities. The specialist will conduct recruitment presentations, support prospective students and families, and facilitate workshops for newly admitted students.

Responsibilities

Conducting recruitment presentations at feeder school sites

Supporting perspective students and families with completion of the UB Student application

Conducting initial student/parent interview to determine program eligibility

Development of program marketing materials

Maintain detailed files for program applicants

Facilitate workshops for newly admitted middle school students during Saturday College

Conduct outreach via email, text, and telephone to recently admitted students

Support UB Staff during Saturday College and Wednesday Events

Support with UB administrative tasks as assigned by Program Director and/or Office Manager

Required

High School Diploma

Must demonstrate proficiency in a related field

Inspirational, culturally aware with demonstrated knowledge and experience in problems facing low-income and first-generation students

Must be able to effectively work with students with diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, linguistic and ethnic backgrounds
