Responsibilities
Define and own the overall test and validation strategy for complex, hardware-integrated software systems
Translate customer and business needs into a clear, executable testing vision
Act as a strategic thought leader, influencing product quality and delivery at a system level
Serve as Product Owner for Test
Build, manage, and prioritize the testing backlog
Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and dependencies
Prepare the team for Program Increment (PI) and iteration planning
Formally accept and approve features and user stories
Ensure deliverables meet defined acceptance criteria and 'definition of done'
Advocate for built-in quality and risk-based testing approaches
Lead collaboration across software, hardware, systems, and quality teams
Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Inspect & Adapt events
Champion customer-centric design and quality practices
Present testing strategies, progress, and results to internal and external stakeholders
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Qualification
Required
8+ years of experience in software testing for hardware-integrated systems
Proven experience defining test strategy and validation approaches
Strong background in system-level testing and quality leadership
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct people management
Preferred
Experience working in FDA- or FAA-regulated environments
Medical device industry experience strongly preferred
Familiarity with Agile / SAFe environments and PI planning
Experience acting as a Product Owner or test lead for complex systems
