Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records by performing monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
Ensure the integrity of all financial transactions through regular monitoring and reconciliation of firm accounts
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow reports
Process vendor payments, employee expense reimbursements, and monitor aging reports to ensure timely collections
Assist with the calculation of partner draws and distributions, and provide data for year-end tax preparation
Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary work papers and documentation
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and enhance the firm’s financial reporting capabilities
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
Candidates should have 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience, with prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment being highly desirable
Proficiency in advanced Excel skills such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs is essential
Preferred
A CPA license is strongly preferred, but we will consider candidates who are currently CPA-eligible or possess equivalent high-level experience
Experience with legal accounting software such as Elite/3E or Aderant is preferred
