Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of Detachment 2, AMCAOS/Simulation Branch, ensuring that Training Operations complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities
Represents Detachment 2, AMCAOS/Simulation Branch with a variety of installation and functional area organizations

Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance
Work will be performed predominately indoors in an air- or non-air-conditioned building
Some work is performed at contractors' facilities
Individuals will be required to enter and exit training devices without assistance
Walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items may be required
May be subject to electrical hazards of shock, burns, and cuts
Work will regularly require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
Incumbent may be required to work overtime either at normal duty station, during travel status, and/or at temporary duty location
Incumbent may be required to represent Detachment 2, AMCAOS Commander during his/her absence
Incumbent must have successfully completed Department of the Air Force Quality Assurance Representative for Training Systems course
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems
Knowledge of principles, concepts, methodology, and DoD/FAA regulatory guidance related to flight simulator operation, maintenance, and certification
Knowledge of a wide range of aircrew training device maintenance concepts, principles, and practices of specific systems/equipment used to train AMC, AETC, AFRC and ANG crewmembers
Knowledge of electronic engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints pertaining to the circuitry and electromechanical components of ATDs
Knowledge of Equal Opportunity, safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures
Understanding of the principles, standards and techniques of quality assurance as provided in military specifications, best commercial practices, and International Organization for Standard 9000 series publications
Knowledge of contract administration, specifically the interrelationships of the Statement of Work, Contract Data Requirements List, System Specification, Clauses, Attachments, etc
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors
Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
