Responsibilities
Performs advanced vocational-level work in a specialized trade focused on designing, redesigning, and replacing electrical and computer-controlled building/plant systems
Serves as the primary resource for complex or new system installations, controls programming, system integration, and network troubleshooting and repair
Provides lead work over lower-level employees, including assigning tasks, training, mentoring, and reviewing work
Coordinates or oversees system installation or replacement projects, including materials procurement and liaison with inspectors or utilities
Assists with operational administration such as inventory monitoring, contractor recommendations, job specifications, and oversight of contracted work
Qualification
Required
Ability to oversee facility grounds
Ability to follow procedures, supervise lower-level staff and work well with others
Typically requires completion of an apprenticeship program in the trade area and 2-4 years of experience
