Executive Director II: Morrison & Sara's YMCA
YMCA of Greater Charlotte is seeking an Executive Director II to oversee annual revenue exceeding $5M and establish YMCA centers as vibrant social hubs. This senior-level position focuses on strategic alignment, customer experience, team development, and community engagement while upholding the YMCA’s mission.

Responsibilities
Inspire and guide branch leadership teams, volunteers, and stakeholders to embrace the YMCA’s Christian mission and values
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability across multiple branches
Translate association strategies into regional execution plans with measurable goals for revenue, experience, and impact
Monitor performance metrics across locations and adjust strategies to ensure outcomes are achieved
Champion a member- and community-centered approach that ensures inclusive, high-quality programs and services
Establish systems that drive satisfaction, retention, and engagement across diverse membership bases
Lead in a matrixed environment, coordinating across branches and departments to achieve organizational goals
Recruit, coach, and retain executive directors and program leaders, building succession and leadership capacity
Oversee operational compliance, risk management, and efficiency across multiple branches and facilities
Manage multi-million-dollar budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation to optimize financial sustainability
Represent the YMCA as a leader, cultivating partnerships with schools, businesses, government, and civic organizations
Direct advisory boards to strengthen fundraising, advocacy, and community impact
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior leadership roles, preferably in YMCA operations or a similar nonprofit organization
Proven ability to manage budgets, develop programs, and lead staff effectively
Strong skills in community engagement, public relations, and fundraising
Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
All YMCA team members are expected to maintain a current and active status for all safety, risk, and programming certifications defined by the YMCA of Greater Charlotte
