Supporting high-achieving students
Offering personalized guidance that supports each student’s unique academic interests and goals
Supporting initiatives that inspire students to embrace challenges and seize unique academic, research, internship, global leadership, and experiential learning opportunities
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree and one (1) year of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
Preferred
Bachelor's degree desired; evidence of or plans to pursue a Master's degree preferred
Experience working with honors, high-achieving, or gifted students in an academic or student services field; experience with honors college or program is preferred
Proven ability to deliver personalized, high-quality service and support to students in one-on-one interactions
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather information, resolve issues with leadership guidance, and proactively expand knowledge
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and external partners
Knowledge of university curriculum requirements and student development theory, with the ability to apply this knowledge to support student success
Experience working collaboratively within a team and with external partners to provide comprehensive student support
Self-motivated and able to thrive in a structured team environment, with experience assisting in a variety of programs and projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), PeopleSoft, and data analysis tools
