Tax Operations Associate
Nepsis, Inc. is an independent financial advisory, investment management, and tax services firm. The Tax Operations Associate plays a critical role in supporting the tax team by managing the operational workflow, assembly, and delivery of tax returns, ensuring they are prepared efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities
Assemble, organize, and finalize federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts
Prepare returns for review, e-file, and delivery in accordance with firm standards
Manage e-filing processes, acknowledgements, and follow-up on rejections or corrections
Support the tax team throughout the full tax return lifecycle, from data intake to final delivery
Monitor workflows and deadlines to ensure timely completion of returns
Maintain checklists and standardized procedures for tax production
Utilize and support the Thomson Reuters tax software suite, including UltraTax CS, Practice CS, Onvio, or similar software
Assist with document management, file organization, and system data integrity
Troubleshoot basic system or workflow issues and escalate when needed
Performance completeness and accuracy checks prior to review and filing
Ensure returns meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements
Maintain organized workpapers and supporting documentation
Coordinate with tax professionals to gather missing information or resolve open items
Support secure delivery of tax returns to clients via portal or approved delivery methods
Assist with responding to client and internal operational inquiries related to tax filings
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience in tax operations, tax administration, or tax support roles
Direct experience using Thomson Reuters tax software suite
Authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis
Strong understanding of tax return assembly and filing processes
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office and document management systems
Familiar with tax workflow tools, portals, and e-signature processes
Process-driven with a quality-control mindset, with a focus on operations excellence, following through on tasks, and continuous process improvement
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Dependable, proactive, and deadline-oriented
Preferred
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in finance, accounting, business, or another closely related field
Experience supporting multiple tax entities (1040, 1065, 1120, 1041)
Experience in a CPA firm or professional services environment
Experience using tax workflow tools, portals, and e-signature processes
