Quality Control Manager

Responsibilities
Manage project quality requirements in civil and structural construction
Daily quality control reporting
Subcontractor management
Submittal management
Conducting quality phase meetings
Frequent field quality control inspections aimed at preventing contract non-conformance
Knowing the schedule and estimate strategy
Ensuring the quality management systems are properly integrated
Lead the Project Management team in the preparation of technical project submittals
Ensuring the completeness and quality of every submittal
Be a champion of Quality Control with continuous improvement throughout the project and company
Accurately collect, process, and analyze data to effect decision making actions
Build and maintain professional relationships with clients
Coordinate with Project Managers and superintendents to ensure timely submission of daily reports
Create clear and concise reports/documents on project Quality performance measurables
Maintain the project Defects Report/Log and timely generate accurate reports on actions and trends
Conduct and accurately document QCM led project meetings
Timely record, and issue and distribute the meeting minutes
Coordinate the inspections and testing of project requirements from the specifications and project Testing and Inspection Log
Ensure the availability of adequate testing personnel, equipment and laboratory compliance
Ensure activities and actions are conducted in a timely manner to ensure an effective project startup
Review the specifications and know the client expectations for deliverables
Ensure compliance through in-depth reviews of the project documents
Review test methods and procedures with in-house technicians and subcontractor labs as needed
Ensure incoming products and materials are acceptable
Initiate, communicate, and track non-conformance corrective actions
Comply with safety procedures/policies and address and/or elevate non-compliance among all employees, subcontractors, and vendors
Others duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or construction management/science with a minimum of 2 years construction experience on construction similar to this scope of work (preferred), or a minimum of 5 years construction experience on construction similar to this scope of work (preferred)
Ability and willingness to relocate to project site locations for duration of the project
Minimum 1 Year experience in the Three Phases of Control Quality Management System utilized by USACE and other Federal Government Agencies
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Ability to read and understand contract drawings and specifications
Strong verbal and written skills
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, etc.)
Preferred
USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors training certification
American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification as Quality Auditor or Manager of Quality/Organization Excellence
Trained and experience with the USACE Resident Management System (RMS) 3.0 or NAVFAC's ECMS system
Experience with submittal management
