Responsibilities
Provide overall management of the QA/QC oversight process for all project-related engineering, construction services, and overhaul activities
Manage quality assurance for large capital projects exceeding $100M, including renewables and power generation facilities
Implement and manage uniform quality construction standards and processes across all major capital projects within the Energy Supply fleet
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and quality champion, promoting continuous improvement and adherence to quality standards
Perform inspections and reviews of field construction activities, including: Job site safety and compliance, Equipment laydown areas, Material receipt, storage, fabrication, and installation, Inspection and testing activities, QA/QC documentation and records
Conduct vendor surveillance, shop audits, and fabrication inspections
Coordinate and schedule quality witness and inspection points for fabrication and installation activities
Provide direction and support to project leads in developing QA/QC project plans
Assist with the development of inspection and testing plans (ITPs)
Coordinate work activities of QA/QC inspection personnel with project leadership
Oversee staff augmentation resources supporting inspection and quality activities
Collaborate with plant directors, project managers, construction directors, superintendents, and overhaul management to meet quality requirements
Review and analyze construction quality performance against industry standards and trends
Identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities related to construction quality
Provide quality recommendations to construction leadership and Energy Supply management
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in project management, construction quality assurance, or quality control
Demonstrated experience supporting large capital projects, including renewables and power generation
Experience with combustion turbine project quality oversight
Strong technical background in engineering, construction, or industrial project execution
Proven ability to operate effectively in high-risk field and plant environments
Preferred
Experience with: Wind and solar energy projects
Power plant construction, maintenance, or overhaul activities
Industrial construction quality programs
Strong leadership and communication skills in a non-direct authority role
Ability to influence cross-functional teams and external vendors
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and remote collaboration tools
Strong organizational, documentation, and reporting skills
