RF/Digital PCB Designer

Responsibilities

Create schematics, creation of PCB library components, layout, manufacturing, and verification
Familiar with common analog and digital components
Gather requirements for a circuit board and then create a concept for preliminary approval. The design concept would include evaluating power for the circuit board and selecting power supplies
Create both a schematic and a layout for PCBs. Can interface with PCB manufacturers and address manufacturing issues
Use basic lab test equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators
Perform other duties, as assigned

Required

Bachelors degree in electrical engineering
3-5 years of experience designing PCBs
Familiarity with basic analog and digital components
Experience in evaluating power needs for a circuit board and selecting power supplies
Experience with schematic and layout tools
Experience managing a PCB component library
Capable of interfacing with a PCB fab vendor and addressing issues
Experience testing PCBs using common lab test equipment: digital multimeter, oscilloscope, and signal generator

Preferred

Master's degree in electrical engineering
Experience with Siemens/Mentor Graphics Expedition schematic, library manager, and layout tools
Experience with RF components, PCB design, and test
Experience with RF test equipment including vector network analyzers and spectrum analyzers
Understanding of signal integrity
Experience with high-speed digital design
Experience implementing FPGAs, ADCs, DACs, and PLLs on circuit boards
