Responsibilities
Monitor network activity and system logs to identify abnormal or suspicious behavior
Research, validate, and respond to security alerts, incidents, and requests
Analyze traffic patterns and system behavior to distinguish normal activity from potential threats
Identify, assess, and research emerging security threats and vulnerabilities, including likelihood and potential impact
Evaluate the effectiveness of security controls through testing and internal reviews
Investigate security deficiencies identified through monitoring, testing, or vulnerability scanning
Recommend mitigation strategies or risk acceptance decisions to appropriate leadership
Participate in company risk assessment, vendor management, and risk management programs
Support application security testing and vulnerability scanning efforts in collaboration with other teams
Configure, test, document, and implement new or updated security processes and controls
Collaborate with operations, development, and other business teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into processes and projects
Maintain awareness of industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance
Review, update, and help implement information security policies, procedures, standards, and documentation
Assist with developing and delivering security-related training for associates
Promote security awareness and encourage adherence to information security best practices
Assist with support of the company’s computing environment, including system setup and configuration for associates as needed
Support IT service desk activities related to security and system access
Contribute to security and business projects that improve operational effectiveness and system protection
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma and at least 3 years of full-time work experience in Information Systems or related experience
Or MIS Degree
Working knowledge of common IT technologies and processes
Familiarity with common Information Security and Information Technology frameworks and standards
