Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the procedures related to emergency events requiring a coordinated Company response: Storm Restoration Process, Heat Emergency, Site Restoration Management, Security Threats, Distribution Load Management, Substation Logistical Support of Critical Substations, Incident Command
Participate in completion of ComEd and/or PECO Annual Projects: Emergency Response Drills, Emergency Load Conservation, Summer/Winter Readiness Plans, Emergency Generator and Transformer Deployment Process, Work Stoppage Planning, Black Start Planning
Participate in and coach personnel during emergency events. Monitor events for process adherence and improvement opportunities
Develop and implement training related to emergency response
Conduct post-event lessons learned meetings, track completion of resulting action items, and file required regulatory report for the event
Coordinate emergency planning with municipal, state, federal agencies, and other industry groups
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in related field AND 4-7 years of relevant experience OR in lieu of degree, 6-9 years of experience in Emergency Preparedness Activities and/or planning, design, operation or maintenance of high voltage electrical equipment on the electrical / gas distribution system
Good computer skills, strong oral and written communications skills, along with the ability to deal with people at all levels within the Company, are necessary
