Responsibilities

Install various types of Cat-6, Cat-6A Copper Systems and Single-Mode and Multi-Mode Fiber Systems, including wiring, devices, Racks, and Ladder Rack, according to engineering specifications and compliance with BISCI and Industry Standards
Conduct detailed testing and commissioning of new copper and fiber cabling systems utilizing a Fluke Tester and OTDR, or similar from another manufacturer
Accurately complete all necessary documentation including test reports. Maintain accurate As-Built documentation
Provide high-quality customer service, offering clear communication and feedback about the status of their cabling systems. Address customer concerns and ensure their satisfaction with services provided
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Share knowledge and assist in training junior technicians
Willingness to learn new skills in other low voltage scopes

Required

BISCI Installer I, Installer II Copper, Installer II Fiber, and Technician with experience in both copper and fiber system installation, certification, and troubleshooting preferred
Strong understanding of cabling system design and configuration
Ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently and effectively, ensuring minimal loss time
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly explaining the status of the project
High level of attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality
Ability to work in various environments and ascend ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift equipment up to 50 pounds

Preferred

BISCI certification is a plus
Experience with a Fusion Splicer is a plus
