The Maintenance Shift Manager leads site maintenance operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production while developing the maintenance team and collaborating with production to meet operational goals.

Responsibilities

Executing the annual maintenance plan and coordinating with production to minimize downtime
Leading preventive maintenance, complex troubleshooting, repairs, equipment upgrades, replacements, and new build support
Managing maintenance work requests and priorities within the CMMS (SAP)
Coaching, developing, and motivating the maintenance team, including training and skills development
Ensuring strict compliance with QHSE, regulatory, and quality requirements
Supervising internal technicians and external contractors
Analyzing performance trends and implementing improvement initiatives
Supporting maintenance budgeting and advising on technical policy improvements

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 3+ years of leadership experience in a food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment OR Associate's/technical degree with 5+ years of leadership experience in a similar setting
Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement (5S, CI, Six Sigma)
Ability to lead with a safety-first mindset and enforce QHSE, regulatory, and quality standards
Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred

Experience leading teams in a union environment
Experience working with CMMS systems (SAP preferred)
