Responsibilities

Lead the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities aligned with standard GM maintenance systems
Conduct appropriate checks and tests and communicate evaluation of results
Responsible for preventative maintenance and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions, recommends solutions to problems, and meets schedule and quality requirements
Oversees a small to medium group of salaried maintenance Group Leaders
Comply with the terms of local and national labor agreements
Implements divisional and corporate policies
Implements safety and good housekeeping practices
Frequent contact and collaboration with others outside of the work group
Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment
Participates in the selection of new employees
Train, develop and evaluate employees
Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project
Lead technical guidance for complex and unusual plant operations or projects
Assists in the development of budgets and forecasts within assigned area
Obtain a deep knowledge and ability to implement Global Manufacturing System (GMS) principles
Manage workload across all three shifts of the operation
Be available to take calls and work all three shift and weekends when needed to support die room activities

Required

3+ years of Tool and Die experience or die program support
3+ years of Manufacturing experience
Leadership experience
Ability to work / rotate through all 3 shifts (1st, 2nd & 3rd)
Ability to work over-time, weekends, holidays, etc. as needed

Preferred

5+ years of Tool and Die experience or die program support
5+ years of stamping
Bachelor's degree or Journeyman's card
