Responsibilities
Provides a safe environment for patients, physicians, and staff by accessing patients for transports, providing on hand clinical transports, maintains safety with clinical equipment, supplies, and positioning and lifting for patients in the OR/Pre-op/PACU/GI/Anesthesia clinical settings including specialty devices for safety and optimal clinical outcomes and metric goals
Assists in core supply areas, OR room/GI/PACU/Pre-op turnovers, and promotes a clean, sanitary, orderly Perioperative environments
Ensures safe delivery of pathology specimens
Performs regulatory compliance audits under the direction of CSM's and Directors of Perioperative Services
Qualification
Required
Serves as nurse extender (OR, GI, PACU, Pre-op, Anesthesia)
Provides care across the continuum to provide optimal safety
Partners with physicians, nurses, and others to support clinical operations of the department
Provides a safe environment for patients, physicians, and staff
Accesses patients for transports
Provides on hand clinical transports
Maintains safety with clinical equipment, supplies, and positioning and lifting for patients
Assists in core supply areas, OR room/GI/PACU/Pre-op turnovers
Promotes a clean, sanitary, orderly Perioperative environment
Ensures safe delivery of pathology specimens
Performs regulatory compliance audits under the direction of CSM's and Directors of Perioperative Services
Reports to charge nurses, CSM's, and Directors
