Staff Development Trainer/Consultant

The Staff Development Trainer/Consultant is responsible for training new and tenured staff and providing consultative services to ensure compliance with training expectations.

Responsibilities
Deliver prompt onboarding and refresher trainings to all staff as identified in Training Plans and as specified by the training curriculum
Monitor compliance with trainings and training expectations, communicating any concerns
Prepare materials and the training environment ahead of time
Provide light clean-up post training
Help to coordinate onboarding observations and tours
Assist external experts providing training to staff members
Help with uploads and oversight of compliance with web-based trainings
Maintain current knowledge of potential web-based trainings and make recommendations for requirements
Consult with Direct Care staff on the implementation of George Junior Republic policies, procedures, and processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree required with extensive experience in a teaching or human services related field
5 years experience, at least one involving training of staff or teaching
High proficiency in Microsoft applications
Excellent public speaking and people skills
Customer-oriented
Well spoken
Team-oriented
Engaging
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to walk, stoop, etc
Must be able to perform all physical techniques needed to perform Safe Crisis Management physical techniques instruction
Preferred
Master's Degree preferred in Teaching or human service related field
Licensure preferred, not required
