Responsibilities
Design and build a state-of-the-art deep-tissue imaging platform with integrated advanced optical tools, including wavefront shaping
Write scientific manuscripts describing research findings
Attend local and national meetings to present research findings, learn about the latest advances in the field, and develop a scientific network
Qualification
Required
A PhD in physics, biomedical engineering, neuroscience, or a closely related area of study is required
Experience with optical engineering and optical microscopy is required
A self-motivated mindset with the persistence to explore innovative research and address challenging scientific problems
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle challenges creatively
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and discuss findings clearly in diverse settings
A flexible and adaptive approach, willing to learn new techniques, share expertise, and contribute to the collective success of the team
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Meticulous approach to work with a high level of attention to detail
Ability to work successfully within a collaborative and congenial environment
Strong commitment to research integrity
Preferred
Experience with wavefront shaping would be a plus
