Sample Management Technician I

Responsibilities

Receive and document samples from clients, couriers, shipping, laboratory, and/or field staff
Verify that all samples meet condition standards and comply with organizational policies, quality requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines
Accurately record sample information, details, and required analyses in laboratory software system
Label, organize, and distribute samples to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
Maintain orderly and secure sample storage areas and oversee the proper placement, retrieval, and disposal of samples in accordance with established protocols
Prepare sample kits and manage outbound shipments as required
Provide assistance to colleagues and support related operational functions, including inventory management, supply preparation, and general support activities
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in alignment with company standards and safety requirements
Complete assigned tasks within established timelines while upholding accuracy, quality, and procedural standards
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Demonstrated experience in data entry, administrative, clerical, laboratory support, or documentation-focused roles involving accurate record keeping and information management
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field preferred
Prior experience working in a laboratory, sample handling, or other regulated, high-volume processing environment preferred
