Project Management
Multi-Discipline Project Coordination
Mentor junior staff
Perform work that may include, but is not limited to, construction document (plan and specifications), technical reports preparation and/or oversight; engineering analyses, cost estimates and quality control/quality assurance in order to deliver a quality design product
Implement regulatory requirements and design standards
Other duties as required
Supervisory responsibilities include assisting the Department Manager in:
Growing, mentoring, and developing the staff within discipline area to allow each person to achieve their maximum potential
Minimum annual evaluations for each direct report
Providing technical guidance/leadership for discipline area
Organizing staff in a way to allow career advancement, professional development, quality client service, and operational efficiencies to meet business and project financial goals
Taking a very active role in recruitment of staff in discipline area including networking, recruitment, interviewing and 'deal closing'
Qualification
Required
BS degree in Civil Engineering
8-10+ years of design experience desired, related to civil engineer related design projects
AutoCad required and Civil3D and Microstation preferable
Looking for experience in site/civil design, roadway/transportation design, stormwater management and project management skills
Communicates effectively
Preferred
Licensed Professional Engineer is preferred
