Plan, implement, maintain work systems, procedures, and policies that enable and encourage optimum performance of people and other resources
Prepare and maintain reports necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Prepare periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment
Manage the overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities of the department
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in related field of practice; Experience may substitute for education
Seven (7) years of related experience
Proficiency in Microsoft software applications which could include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
Valid Texas State Driver's License
Industry related certification
Knowledge of department industry best practices, contract management, and facility code and compliance
Knowledge and ability in preparing annual budgets, monitoring expenditures, coordinating requests for quotes, and facilitating procurement of all materials and services required for construction and maintenance projects
Skilled at providing leadership in ways that engages and motivates personnel, promotes a safe work culture, and ensures all activities align with departmental policies and procedures
Knowledge of managing building renovations/repairs and office moves
