Start in 2026 SummerThe Museum of Modern Art is offering a Summer Internship Program for undergraduate and graduate students to gain practical experience in museum work. Interns will engage in various projects within the Content & Editorial Team, focusing on online content creation, research, and editing under mentorship.

Responsibilities
Support various areas of online content - from brainstorming to research to interviews to production to editing
Select one project related to a current temporary exhibition or artwork on view in the Collection Galleries, and under the mentorship of our Content producers, work to produce this feature from idea to finished article during their time at MoMA
Be involved in archival image and document research for stories, artist intros, and art terms
Assist in several major multimedia content initiatives on our team
Be an integral part of our very small team and all of the projects that we do over the those three months, including gearing up for the fall exhibitions
Qualification
Required
Minimum of two years of college completed (or equivalent) by June 2026
Interest in writing and editing, audio, online publishing, and audience development
Keen willingness to learn and curiosity to reach and engage with existing and new audiences across the world
One essay submitted in PDF format, no longer than 650 words addressing the prompt
Résumé/curriculum vitae in PDF format
At least one letter of recommendation in PDF format
Transcript(s) of undergraduate and/or graduate records in PDF format
Preferred
Experience in writing and editing, audio, online publishing, and audience development
