New Grad, Entry LevelContel Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Level 1 Central Office Installation Technician to join our network infrastructure team. This entry-level position is responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and testing of telecommunications equipment in central office environments.

Responsibilities
Assist in the installation of telecommunications equipment including routers, switches, servers, power systems, and fiber/copper cabling
Follow engineering drawings, installation standards, and job specifications
Perform basic cable routing, labeling, and termination tasks
Use hand tools and basic test equipment to verify installation integrity
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Document installation activities and update records as required
Comply with safety regulations and company policies
Support senior technicians and learn advanced installation techniques
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications a plus
Basic understanding of electrical and telecommunications systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
Comfortable working in physically demanding environments (e.g., lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if required
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred
Familiarity with central office environments and telecom equipment
Basic knowledge of DC power systems and grounding
Experience with cable management and labeling standards
OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus
