Postdoctoral Associate and Research Associate
The University of Colorado Boulder is part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST) Professional Research Experience Program (PREP), seeking researchers for scientific collaboration. The role involves conducting basic research on indoor localization methods, evaluating their performance, and developing prototypes to enhance public safety scenarios.

Reading scholarly papers on indoor localization and understanding their contributions and how the proposed systems work
Writing code for modeling, simulation, and performance evaluation of indoor localization systems
Developing novel indoor localization systems
Publishing the research results and making technical presentations on the work done
Ensuring that results, protocols, software, and documentation have been archived or otherwise transmitted to the larger organization
Qualification
Required
Postdoctoral Associate: A doctoral degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or other related fields with 0 – 4 years of post-doctoral degree experience
Research Associate: A doctoral degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or other related fields with 5+ years of post-doctoral degree experience
Good knowledge of wireless communications, digital signal processing, and computer algorithms is required
Postdoctoral Associate: Good computing skills and proficiency in some programming languages, such as C/C++ and Python, and MATLAB is required
Research Associate: Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and MATLAB is required, along with good computing skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred
The ability to develop prototypes of indoor localization systems is a plus
Transcripts/Proof of Degree: If you are selected as the finalist, your degree will be verified by the CU Boulder Campus Human Resources Department using an approved online vendor. However, if your degree was obtained outside of the United States, please submit an English-translated version as an Optional document
