Actuarial Life-Associate/Senior Associate

KPMG is a leading provider of audit, tax and advisory services, and they are seeking an Actuarial Life-Modeling AXIS Associate/Senior Associate to join their Audit practice. The role involves providing support in modeling Life, Annuities, and Long-Duration Health insurance products, as well as developing and reviewing workpapers and analytics.

Responsibilities

Provide support to the actuarial management group with modeling Life, Annuities and Long-Duration Health insurance products
Develop, perform, and review KPMG and client workpapers and analytics
Create, enhance, test, and update actuarial models using Moody's Analytics' AXIS software
Produce and manipulate database applications used in support of experience studies and other data management functions
Serve as a liaison between clients and upper management as well as supervise and serve as a mentor to associates, new hires, and interns on engagements
Identify and communicate technical matters to both clients and upper management
Assist with project planning, development of deliverables, and other technical writing exercises

Required

Minimum one year of recent related work experience in Actuarial
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with a strong academic background in actuarial science, applied statistics, financial analysis, insurance, and mathematics
Demonstrated good exam progress towards a certification as an Associate of the Society of Actuaries
Experience with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Statutory Financial Reporting
Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize work without extensive direction from supervisors
Strong understanding of Life, Annuity and Long-Duration Health Insurance products
Travel may be up to 40-60% as required by client demand
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred

Minimum three years of recent related work experience in Actuarial
Previous supervisory experience is preferred
Well established understanding of business dynamics and operations
