Senior Manager, Product Safety and Compliance

Responsibilities

Define certification and testing requirements for NPIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches
Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive test plans to achieve regulatory approvals such as UL, CE, and customer-specific certifications
Serve as the initial reviewer and coordinator for lithium projects, directing them through the compliance and V&V process
Manage Windchill signoffs, including shared responsibilities with other compliance leads
Review and approve deviations for manufacturing plants to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards
Initiate and oversee Change Requests/Change Notices (CR/CN) for product updates and process improvements
Run regular cross-regional alignment calls (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) to synchronize V&V activities between EMEA and US teams
Organize weekly End-of-Line (EOL) calls within the V&V team to discuss ongoing projects and compliance issues
Serve as the lead V&V representative for all lithium projects
Function as the main contact for Legal regarding product testing and compliance matters
Represent V&V in global processes, including GPDP, Windchill, Apollo, and related systems
Gatekeeper for CSA certification activities for EnerSys Delaware Inc
Client Administrator for Intertek and gatekeeper for UL Standards Access for EnerSys Delaware Inc
Approve V&V department expenses, PCard transactions, and paid time off (PTO) for all direct reports
Provide expertise on lithium shipping regulations and procedures for Engineering and the broader organization

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
Significant experience in product safety, regulatory compliance, and certification processes
Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional and international teams
Strong knowledge of UL, CE, CSA, and global product safety standards
Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Expertise in lithium battery technologies and associated shipping regulations is highly desirable
Proficiency with compliance management systems such as Windchill and Apollo
