Production & Quality Control Manager

They are seeking a high-performing Production & Quality Control Manager to oversee fulfillment, integrity, and quality control, ensuring that all products meet the company's high standards while managing vendor relations and production processes.

Responsibilities
Support production and fulfillment: Directly impact deferred revenue, order fulfillment daily by working with vendors on resolving issues and improving process flows and automations
Lead Quality Control Strategy: Develop and maintain a comprehensive QC program to ensure all products meet VRAI’s standards. Monitor key metrics, conduct root cause analyses, and implement preventive measures to drive continuous quality improvements
Oversee Vendor Operations, timelines, and pricing: Evaluate and onboard vendors through manufacturing capability assessments, sample reviews, and quality audits. Manage daily vendor communication, performance tracking, and long-term relationship development to ensure consistency and accountability
Drive Technical Production Excellence: Collaborate with product development to ensure manufacturing feasibility and timely sample execution. Improve production processes to support operational efficiency, scalability, and adherence to the Product Development Calendar
Reporting, Compliance, and Post-Sale Oversight: Prepare reports on QC metrics, vendor performance, and production improvements. Stay current with industry regulations and oversee repairs, returns, and inventory management in close coordination with Customer Experience and Operations
Qualification
Required
5-7 years of experience in jewelry or diamond production, quality control, and technical production, including familiarity with made-to-order and drop-ship business models, is essential
Strong background in vendor sourcing, onboarding, and evaluation, with demonstrated success in negotiating contracts and optimizing vendor performance
Deep expertise in the jewelry development and manufacturing lifecycle, with strong knowledge of materials and advanced production techniques
Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements that enhance product quality and operational efficiency
Proficiency in ERP systems and other operational tools to support reporting and workflow management
Mandatory Onsite: The specific nature of this role requires physical presence at a designated VRAI facility for all scheduled work hours
This position will often: Sit, stand for long periods, walk, grasp, reach with hands and arms, lift below and above shoulders, bend, twist at the waist, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, see, use fine finger manipulation, and complete repetitive motions
