Production Assistant

Hy-Vee, Inc. is a leading company in the beverage manufacturing sector, and they are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Assistant to join their dynamic production team. The role involves assisting the Production Planner with shipping, receiving, staging, and batching raw materials, as well as maintaining accurate inventory counts and supporting the production team as needed.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the packaging and shipping of completed beverage products to clients or distribution centers in a timely manner
Receive, inspect, and log raw materials into inventory as they arrive. Ensure accurate records are maintained for all incoming shipments
Stage the necessary raw materials for upcoming beverage production runs, ensuring proper organization and accessibility for the production team
Accurately batch raw materials according to production schedule and batch sheets, ensuring the right quantities and quality are provided to the production team
Perform regular inventory counts of materials in-house, track stock levels, and report discrepancies to the Production Planner
Assist the beverage production team with day-to-day operations, helping to ensure smooth production processes and addressing any immediate needs as they arise
Assist the Production Planner with scheduling, coordination, and any other administrative tasks related to production and materials management

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in managing others, preferably in a high speed production environment
Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally; exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently; and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Must be able to be on feet (standing and walking) for 8-12 hours a day
Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
