Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy to support the organization's mission and growth objectives
Lead and execute fundraising campaigns, grant applications, and donor cultivation efforts to secure financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners
Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, law firms, community leaders, and potential donors to raise awareness of our mission and expand our network of supporters
Plan and execute fundraising events, including the annual Justice for All Celebration, and community outreach activities to increase visibility and support for the organization
Work closely with the leadership team to align development efforts with organizational goals and contribute to overall strategic planning
Oversee communications for the organization, including but not limited to public relations, social media, website content, and earned/paid media
Implement and utilize a donor database/CRM tool, and ensure it is used consistently and accurately to inform data-driven decision making and accounting/audit gift reporting

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit development, with a proven track record of successful fundraising
Strong knowledge of San Diego's philanthropic landscape
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Passion for social justice and a commitment to the organization's mission
