Responsibilities
Build and maintain scalable ETL pipelines and data integration processes
Develop robust datasets using advanced SQL and query performance optimization
Collaborate with business teams and solution architects to gather and translate data requirements
Perform data validation, quality assurance, and ingestion activities
Improve data pipeline performance, scalability, and reliability
Support data migration efforts and system integrations (cloud and on‑prem)
Troubleshoot production data issues and maintain data pipeline health
Document data flows, solution design, and technical specifications
Contribute to best practices, engineering standards, and process improvements
Qualification
Required
3–8 years of professional Data Engineering experience
Strong expertise in SQL (complex queries, performance tuning, modeling)
Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, DataStage, ADF, SSIS, AWS Glue, or similar
Experience building and maintaining data pipelines in cloud or on-prem environments
Strong understanding of relational databases, data warehousing, and integration patterns
Prior experience working in a consulting or client-facing role
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Must be local to Houston, with ability to work onsite as needed

Preferred
Experience in the Energy & Utilities, Oil & Gas, or Power sectors
Experience with cloud-native data tools (Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Databricks, Snowflake)
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python for automation
Familiarity with CI/CD workflows for data engineering
