Responsibilities

Review and analyze monthly departmental financial performance
Prepare, consolidate, and manage the annual budget for capital, operating, and overhead-funded programs
Track, analyze, and report departmental overtime usage
Create, manage, and close out the full lifecycle of project charge codes
Liaise with administrative staff and Project Managers for annual budget submissions
Prepare monthly financial performance reports and variance analyses
Reconcile financial data across multiple systems and reports
Support compliance with financial policies, procedures, and reporting requirements
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in complex financial analysis, reporting, budget forecasting, and data analysis within a large organization
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint and related tools
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros/VBA
Demonstrated experience using SAP financial modules, PeopleSoft, Oracle Essbase, and Hyperion SmartView
Proven ability to reconcile financial data and work with large datasets
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
High attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies
Strong collaboration skills and ability to function as a team player

Preferred

Experience supporting financial operations within engineering, construction, or infrastructure environments
Experience working within a public-sector or large governmental organization
Prior responsibility for managing or overseeing budget cycles at a departmental or enterprise level
