Responsibilities

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including product management, manufacturing, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes
Develop and implement engineering strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business objectives
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within engineering processes, implementing changes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
Lead a culture of inclusion and belonging, promoting member engagement, sustainability, and continuous improvement
Lead, manage, and motivate a team of engineering professionals, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration
Manage departmental budgets, allocate resources effectively, and track expenses to ensure financial responsibility
Oversee the execution of complex engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge
Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation
Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment
Performs other duties within scope as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical degree
Education Equivalency: Associate's degree in Engineering or related technical degree, plus 2 years of related experience or, 4 years of related experience if no post-secondary education
Military Equivalency at www.mynextmove.org/vets/find/military
5 years of technical experience in Electrical, Mechanical, or Facilities Engineering
2 years supervisory experience
Applicants must be able to work onsite in Holland, MI without relocation assistance
Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position
Willing and able to travel up to 5 percent of the time to other Haworth locations (1-2 days per quarter to Northern Plants and 1-2 times per year to Southern Plants)

Preferred

7-10 years of presence in manufacturing/facilities intensive environments
Familiarity with electrical power and/or compressed air systems
Project management related to electrical, mechanical or facilities engineering
Building management systems
Data/Process driven mindset
Strong communication skills
Contract development experience
Experience on sustainability programs
