Mid LevelNexus Staff Inc. is seeking an experienced Paralegal with a strong background in New York Insurance Defense Litigation to support attorneys in all phases of litigation. This role involves assisting with the preparation and management of active litigation matters, drafting legal documents, and providing general litigation support.

Responsibilities
Assist attorneys with the preparation and management of active litigation matters
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands, and responses
Handle extensive document production and authorization processing
Maintain legal holds using litigation support software
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather documents for discovery
Analyze, organize, and catalog documents and exhibits
Perform legal research and cite-check briefs
Prepare and file legal documents, including e-filing via NYSCEF and PACER
Monitor and calendar court deadlines in compliance with CPLR and other procedural rules
Maintain electronic case files and document review platforms
Provide general litigation support as needed
Qualification
Required
Paralegal experience in New York Insurance Defense Litigation (required)
Strong experience drafting discovery responses, discovery demands, and motions
Extensive experience processing authorizations
In-depth knowledge of New York practice and court procedures
Experience with good faith letter writing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
