They are seeking a Senior Technical SEO Specialist to own the technical health, performance, and scalability of their WordPress website portfolio, focusing on various aspects of SEO and website optimization.

Responsibilities
Perform technical SEO audits across multiple WordPress websites managed by VendVue
Optimize WordPress site architecture, internal linking, URL structures, and navigation
Manage and configure WordPress SEO plugins, caching plugins, and performance tools
Control indexing using robots.txt, XML sitemaps, canonical tags, and noindex rules
Identify and resolve duplicate content, thin content, and index bloat common to WordPress sites
Improve page speed, mobile usability, and Core Web Vitals on WordPress sites
Work with developers to implement performance improvements including image optimization, caching, and script optimization
Diagnose theme and plugin related performance issues
Monitor performance using Google Search Console, Lighthouse, and PageSpeed Insights
Implement and maintain schema markup on WordPress sites
Optimize for rich results, featured snippets, and SERP enhancements
Troubleshoot structured data errors and validation issues
Build repeatable technical SEO processes for large WordPress site networks
Support programmatic SEO and templated page creation within WordPress
Leverage automation and tooling to scale audits, monitoring, and reporting
Work closely with content and marketing teams to ensure SEO friendly WordPress publishing workflows
Partner with developers to prioritize and deploy technical fixes
Provide clear reporting on technical SEO performance, issues, and opportunities
Translate technical findings into business focused recommendations
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hands on technical SEO experience
Direct experience managing and optimizing WordPress websites at scale
Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, plugins, and SEO implications
Proficiency with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, or similar tools
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to WordPress
Preferred
Experience with high volume or multi site WordPress environments
Familiarity with log file analysis
Experience supporting programmatic SEO
Basic scripting experience using Python or SQL
Understanding of multi location SEO
