Responsibilities

Serve as a primary administrative support resource for Student Affairs leadership, including Residence Life and Community Standards staff
Act as a welcoming and knowledgeable point of contact for the Student Affairs division, responding to inquiries and directing individuals to appropriate resources
Coordinate calendars, appointments, meetings, and divisional activities, including participation in weekly Residence Life staff meetings
Maintain working knowledge of housing, food service, and residence life policies and procedures
Manage office operations, including opening and closing the Student Life office, maintaining shared spaces, ordering supplies, and supporting copier and reception needs
Coordinate travel arrangements, facility work orders, records management, and divisional logistics, including catering and event support
Collaborate with Information Systems to support reporting and database needs
Maintain accurate budget records for Student Life and Residence Life, including monthly budget reports
Prepare expenditure requests, purchasing documentation, and financial reports
Support stipends, reimbursements, and program funding for Residence Life staff and student leaders
Reconcile purchasing card activity and evaluate budgetary impacts for departmental spending
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise Student Life front desk student employees
Approve time entries and support student employees’ professional development and daily responsibilities
Assist with department events, retreats, and special projects
Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Student Life mission

Required

High school diploma or GED
Two years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general comfort working with databases and reporting systems
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, handle interruptions with professionalism, and work effectively in a dynamic environment
Experience handling confidential information with discretion and care
Ability to read, interpret, and work with budget and financial information
A personal commitment to the Christian faith and to the integration of faith and learning
Commitment to Whitworth University's mission as a comprehensive Christian liberal arts institution affiliated with the Presbyterian Church
Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team-oriented academic environment
