MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities
Supervise maintenance and testing engineers, trainees, assistants, and technicians in the completion of electrical testing duties ensuring testing of similar items is consistent across the team
Establish working practices and training programs, hiring personnel, test schedule/plans, and field activity plans for CLP's utility privatization (UP) operations and clients across the country
Provide input and oversee the safety program for the Maintenance and Testing team
Possess and maintain up-to-date knowledge of principles, practices, procedures, and standards related to utility power distribution systems maintenance/testing, and ensure the team is trained and competent in these subjects
Provide status updates to the UP Installations, Director of Engineering, and other company personnel
Develop/update electrical substations and distribution system maintenance/testing standards and guidelines
Analyze electrical apparatus test reports, field inspection data, and other performance data to identify performance status and life-cycle assessment of key electrical assets. Propose maintenance or replacement plans based on the technical analysis of the data
Utilize GIS database to track and analyze field maintenance, testing, and inspections of activities for large-scale electrical distribution systems
Travel to CLP's UP sites and other customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data on substation and electrical systems
Manage and execute commissioning tests and startup services for CLPE projects
Develop and manage testing plans and procedures for all low, medium, and high-voltage electrical systems and apparatus in accordance with NETA, NFPA 70B, and manufacturers' recommendations and regulatory law
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (BSEE) from accredited university required
Eight (8) yrs minimum experience required (2 yrs exp at a lead or supervisor level required)
Excellent theoretical understanding of electrical power systems
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous projects
Must have good management and customer coordination skills
You must be a U.S. citizen
Ability to gain a Military Base Access Security Clearance after hire is required for this position
A valid driver's license with a record that meets the CLP Fleet Policy is required
Preferred
PE license preferred
