Responsibilities

Provide on-site development engineering support
Conduct technical investigations and determine the need for design changes
Recommend and qualify solutions to issues and provide engineering documentation as needed
Approval authority for all proposed material substitutions
Generate and lead specific projects in support of warranty, reliability, total cost and quality improvement objectives
Participate in the disposition of deviant materials and components
Disposition First Piece Inspection discrepancies for mature products
Drive manufacturing and supplier use of and adherence to EP-159 process
Lead the warranty reduction process
Support new product delivery with engineering documentation, testing evaluation and root cause analysis

Required

BS or equivalent work experience in Engineering discipline
5+ years of experience in design of high volume electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical systems
5+ years of CAD experience with knowledge of CATIA V5, Windchill, SAP and Pro-Trak
Well-rounded in advanced engineering concepts, problem solving skills and data analysis
Working knowledge and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Proficiency using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office program
Self-starting, results oriented individual who works well in a team environment and commits to tough decisions when required
Must be well organized, able to handle multiple projects and priorities and be adept at information gathering and technical decision making in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to generate and present professional presentations

Preferred

3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Prior engine and drive train experience for agricultural and lawn equipment
Previous supervision of technical personnel

ISO 14001: Water Conservation, Segregation, Aspect & Impact, Contamination and control ground prevention, Energy conservation
OSHAS 18001: Hazardous & Risk Matrix, Emergency Evacuation Plan, Personal Protective Equipment, Hazardous substances (Use and handling); Signal and color codes
