Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal
Downs & Stanford, P.C. is seeking an experienced insurance defense litigation paralegal for their Dallas office. The role involves managing a large caseload, drafting legal documents, and communicating with various stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Manage large caseload with multiple attorneys and team members
Maintain calendars and docket / maintain and follow-up on deadlines
Draft pleadings, discovery responses, and prepare document production with minimal supervision
Review, analyze, and summarize large volumes of medical records and other evidence
Communicate with clients, claims adjusters, opposing counsel, courts, experts
Schedule depositions, hearings, and mediations
E-file through eFileTexas and PACER
Meet or exceed monthly billable hour requirement of at least 120 hours
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3-5 years of insurance defense litigation experience
Demonstrates a high degree of commitment, honesty, and integrity in all aspects
Able to work with a team in a collaborative environment or independently
Critical thinking that displays initiative and adaptability
Self-motivated, organized, detail oriented, efficient, hard-working
Strong communication skills, professional, prompt, excellent attendance
Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experienced with virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Team, and WebEx
Knowledgeable of Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome web browsers, PDF compatible software, and related productivity applications
Preferred
Paralegal certificate and/or college experience preferred (Paralegal positions only)
Experienced with LexisNexis, Coyote Analytics or similar billing and calendaring software a plus
