Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and bulldozers for the installation and maintenance of utility lines
Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition and report any issues to the supervisor
Follow safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for all team members
Collaborate with project managers and other operators to plan and execute utility projects efficiently
Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment usage, and any incidents that occur during operations
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid heavy equipment operator's license or certification
Proven experience operating heavy machinery in a utility or construction setting
Preferred
Knowledge of utility regulations
Knowledge of local utility regulations and safety standards
Experience with specific utility installation techniques and equipment
Additional certifications related to heavy equipment operation or safety training
