Responsibilities
Control access to the facility by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points according to site-specific protocols
Assist with security-related procedures unique to chemical and petrochemical environments, following all required guidelines and regulations
Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and offering assistance to visitors, contractors, and employees as needed
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures
Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns
Monitor surveillance equipment and/or alarm systems to support the overall security-related operations of the location
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established procedures
Support emergency response activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols and client requirements
Qualification
Required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
Access control or badge experience is preferred
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
Alarm panel experience is preferred
