Responsibilities
Maintain current knowledge of OSHA/MSHA regulatory requirements
Oversee and ensure safe daily operations in the field
Inspect and assess job sites daily to identify hazards, risks, and potential safety issues
Develop effective strategies to mitigate risks as they arise in the field
Address all safety concerns by providing educated recommendations to ensure the safety of our team members
Request hazard correction from our customer’s on-site contractor personnel (as needed)
Coach and train team members in the field on safe operations
Conduct various training sessions (New Hire Orientation, Annual Refreshers)
Conduct interviews to obtain information regarding on-the-job incidents and accidents
Provide immediate on-scene assistance and management in the event of an incident
Establish a strong working relationship with our customers’ and on-site personnel
Complete daily administrative duties
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in health and safety, Environmental Science, or another relevant field
A minimum of 2-5 years' work experience with responsibilities in EHS compliance is required, preferably in the construction industry
Familiar with Industrial Construction activities
Knowledge of OSHA/MSHA regulations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter
Detail-oriented
Ability to hold others accountable and coach effectively
Strong computer skills (Outlook, Microsoft Office, ect.)
Must be able to pass a post-offer / pre-placement drug screen and job-related employment physicals
Must also submit to a post-offer / pre-employment background check that verifies criminal history
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Safety is preferred
May consider 5-7 years of experience in lieu of degree
