Responsibilities
Own month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger in accordance with US GAAP
Analyze financial activity, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies
Record, reconcile, and analyze revenue across DTC, marketplace, and wholesale channels
Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition principles consistently across revenue streams
Prepare weekly sales reporting and key operating metrics
Support inventory accounting, including reconciliations, cost flows, and inventory movement analysis
Partner with Operations to resolve inventory discrepancies and strengthen internal controls
Review accounts payable activity for accuracy, including vendor coding, expenses, credit cards, and payment runs
Prepare audit support schedules and coordinate requests with external auditors
Assist with sales tax reporting and responses to inquiries
Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and internal control enhancements
Support and coordinate outsourced accounting resources as needed
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of progressive accounting experience with strong GAAP fundamentals
Deep understanding of debits, credits, and the full accounting lifecycle
Hands-on experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
Experience working with revenue across multiple sales channels
Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and comfort working with accounting systems (QuickBooks Online or similar)
Analytical mindset with the ability to independently investigate and resolve issues
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
Preferred
CPG, consumer goods, or manufacturing experience
Inventory accounting experience in a high-volume environment
CPA or public accounting background
Familiarity with DTC, Amazon, and wholesale revenue models
Experience supporting financial statement audits
Exposure to tools such as Bill.com, Expensify, or similar platforms
