They are seeking a Project Designer for their Electrical division, responsible for design calculations, project documentation, and client liaison for utility projects.
Construction
Responsibilities
Complete design calculations and drawings that satisfy all the applicable code and regulation requirements
Assist in the preparation of schedules, estimates and construction packages
Conduct surveys and worksite visits of project area
Assist with the preparation of reports regarding the status and results of completed and in-progress design projects
Prepare technical reports as required by the client and project team
Utilize various design software and tools
Liaises with clients, contractors, field staff
Performs other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
SpatialNet experience is required
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proven people and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals
Strong computer skills required – experience with Auto CAD software, Microstation, and 3-D software an asset
Ability to travel for projects
Proven ability to take initiative and leadership
Strong problem solving skills
Preferred
Registration as an E.I.T. with the P.E. is an asset
Experience with DTE specifications and standards is an asset
CET certified or CET eligible is preferred
