Mechanical Engineer / Designer

Responsibilities

Prepare HVAC and/or plumbing construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
Perform mechanical design calculations and system selections
Calculate building loads using energy modeling software
Coordinate closely with project managers to meet schedules and deadlines
Communicate and coordinate with all project stakeholders
Serve as a point of contact on assigned projects
Lead projects from kickoff through construction completion
Develop cohesive design solutions within budget and schedule constraints
Build and maintain strong client relationships through quality delivery
Participate in industry events and business development efforts
Supervise, mentor, and train assigned design staff

Required

Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC design and project coordination
Ability to produce complete, biddable construction document sets
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP
Experience working on multiple project types
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Adaptability to changing codes, tools, and technologies
Demonstrated interest in mentoring and team development

Preferred

Experience with complex mechanical systems
Exposure to data centers, healthcare, K–12, and municipal projects
Experience with proposal writing and business development
LEED accreditation (preferred)
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Professional Engineering (PE) license (preferred)
